How to Run the Diagnostics
PSA+ flow( Fn+pwr)
or F12
Here are some screen shots demonstrating the progress of the PSA+ Diagnostics. Clicking any picture opens a larger image in a new window.
The tests initially launch with a brief text screen.
These tests check the memory that will be used by the PSA+ Diagnostics.
The GUI interface appears after a few seconds and the
tests begin.
The tests are displayed as they are run, and the
results are listed on the right.
Part of the PSA+ Diagnostics tests is the LCD BIST. If
the horizontal bars are not visible, a user selects <N> on this screen to
launch the BIST. Otherwise, a user selects <Y> to continue testing.
Not all memory tests run during this process. This is
normal.
If a user selects Yes to the previous prompt, the
system runs the rest of the memory tests. This takes 10-12 minutes.
If a user
chooses not to run the additional memory tests or the system completes the
additional memory tests, the tool then launches the 32-bit Diagnostics from the
utility partition (if available).
